Students, Faculty and Staff Recognized During 2017 Honors Convocation

The primary purpose of the Bishop Lynch High School Honors Convocation is to give due recognition for academic excellence to individual members of the graduating Class of 2017. Through their commitment and sacrifice of their families, these young men and women have been able to achieve great levels of success.

Special awards and recognitions were given today to members of the Class of 2017:

  • United States Air Force Academy – Rhianna Townsend
  • United States Army ROTC – Nick Howe
  • Bishop Duca Scholarship, University of Dallas – Kathleen Castillo
  • Sr. Cecilia Sehr OP Science Award – Emily Pauletti
  • Male Athlete of the Year – Jermaine Mask
  • Female Athlete of the Year – Brianna Kipp
  • The Peter Barrett Tomasz Male Scholar Athlete Award – Will Gates
  • The Female Scholar Athlete Award – Rhiannon Townsend
  • John Adamcik Memorial Award – James Hartmann
  • Diane Dooley Memorial Award – Jessica Hageman
  • Dominic Norman Award – Morgan Henley
  • Senior of the Year Award – Victoria Gonzalez
  • Cor Cristi Award – Victoria Gonzalez
  • Student Council Member of the Year – Hannah Eboagu
  • John F. Kennedy Award – Mr. Micheal Ogunbadejo
  • National Honors Society Teacher of the Year Award – Mr. Jeff Morrow
  • Guy Mascolo Memorial Award – Nurse Patty Barton
  • Arete Award – Ms. Kristie Wainwright

Academic Excellence Awards are based upon rank in the class over seven semesters of high school work. These are the highest Honor Awards given by Bishop Lynch High School.

Ranking second in the senior Class of 2017, and therefore worthy of our Academic Excellence Award Salutatorian is Benjamin Walters.

Ranking first in the senior Class of 2017, and therefore worthy of our Academic Excellence Award Valedictorian is Lani Dufresne.
