The Blackfriars spring production of “The Importance of Being Earnest” will return to the stage for their second run beginning tomorrow, Wednesday May 3rd through Saturday, May 6th. All performances open at 7:00 pm in the Blackbox Theatre.

Come see the story of two bachelors, John ‘Jack’ Worthing and Algernon ‘Algy’ Moncrieff, who create alter egos named Ernest to escape their tiresome lives. Attempting to win the hearts of two women, Jack and Algy both claim to be called Earnest. The pair struggle to keep up with their own stories and become tangled in a tale of deception, disguise and misadventure. This famous play, written by Oscar Wilde and directed by Mr. John Athas, boasts a collection of some of the most bizarre characters ever to be found on the modern stage.
